Cops: Syosset Man Caught Trying to Deal Pot
Man seen allegedly selling to another in front of his home.
A Syosset man is charged with criminal possession and sale of marijuana after attempting to sell it in front of his home, according to second squad detectives.
Maurice Chean, 25 of Syosset, was seen selling marijuana to an unidentified person in front of his Carlton Avenue home at 5:50 Friday evening, said police. A Nassau County Bureau of Special Operations police officer on a routine patrol observed Chean's actions and placed him under arrest, reported police. A search revealed Chean's possession of approximately one pound of marijuana, said cops.
Chean is charged with second degree criminal possession of marijuana and third degree criminal sale of marijuana. He was arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
