Update: Police ID Elderly Woman Fatally Struck in Driveway
Woman sustained fatal head injury, pronounced dead at Syosset Hospital.
An elderly woman died Thursday morning after being fatally struck by a car pulling out of a driveway.
According to police, 82-year-old Miu Lam Hung of Jericho was struck by a car backing out of a Manors Drive driveway in Jericho at about 8:35 a.m. Thursday, reported police. The car, driven by a Jericho woman in her 30s, knocked Hung to the ground, causing a serious head injury, detectives reported.
Hung was transported to where she was pronounced dead at 9:13 a.m. by hospital staff.

Nassau County Detectives said they are not currently investigating any criminality. A brake check was performed on the car at the accident scene.
