Update: LIE Reopened After Dumptruck Overturns

All lanes reopened after morning accident.

All lanes of the Long Island Expressway are now open after an overturned dumptruck filled with dirt caused complete eastbound closures Monday.

Police reported that all lanes had been shut in the Exit 41 area of the LIE in Jericho at 10:22 a.m. A dumptruck filled with dirt had overturned in the HOV lanes of the expressway, sending debris across the lanes, cops said.

The area was closed as crews cleaned the roadway, which police said could take an extended amount of time.
