Syosset Library Celebrates 50 Years

The library opened in 1961 and will celebrate the anniversary with a number of events this summer.

This summer, the is celebrating 50 years of service to the community. 

The summer newsletter will list the events that are planned throughout the summer commemorating the anniversary. From music to films, book discussions and author visits, the library will celebrate the 1960s and the library, an important and integral part of the community.

The summer reading clubs are always a great way to celebrate books and reading.  This summer, the Adult Summer Reading Club will begin with events on Thursday, June 9, and the Children’s Summer Reading Club, One World, Many Stories, and Teen Summer Reading Club, You Are Here, will begin on Monday, June 20.
