The Syosset-Woodbury Community Park pool and other Oyster Bay Town park pools will open for the 2010 summer season on Saturday, June 19.

From June 19-25, the Syosset-Woodbury pool will be open from noon to 6:00 p.m. Beginning June 26, through Aug. 22, hours of operation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. From Monday, Aug. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 5, pools will be open from noon to 8 p.m. On Labor Day, Sept. 6, which is the final day of the pool season, the hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration is currently underway at all community pools from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and holidays, and noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

After June 19, registration at all pools will be conducted during regular pool hours. Residents coming to register must bring proof of residency, such as a driver's license, tax or utility bill that bears their name and address, showing that they are a Town resident. 

The Town's 2010 Summer Program, which has been mailed to each household in the Town, contains information on how to join a pool and register for swim lessons, as well as information on a variety of recreation programs.
