This Sunday, February 24, 2013 we will be attending the second annual Members Only Chili Cook-off at the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center located at 134 Cove Road, Oyster Bay, New York. We attended last year's event that was alot of fun. As a member of the Sanctuary it is a wonderful way to meet other members and get to know them. You can either make a chili (this year I'm making a Stout Turkey & Portebello Mushroom Chili) or just sample some of the various saucy & sizzling home-cooked chilis. We will taste excellent Long Island craft beers, and enjoy live music, too.
Not a member yet? No problem! First-timers will enjoy a 20% discount off a yearly membership which serves to preserve, protect and steward the remarkable facilities, resources and programs of the center.
