Photos: Winter Wonderland in Syosset

Season's first real snowfall blankets Syosset in white Tuesday.

Let it snow!

A wet, wintery snow is creating a wintery blanket over Syosset Tuesday. Roads are clear, but beware of dangerous ice as temperatures drop this evening.

Forecasters predict snowfall accumulations from 3 - 5 inches. The snow is predicted to taper off around 4 p.m., in time for the evening rush. Temperatures will drop to a low of 22 tonight with wind gusts as high as 26 MPH.  Drivers are warned to be careful as the snow "will create icy and hazardous travel conditions."
