Founded in 1985, Harvest House was begun after Sister Jeanne witnessed the death of an elderly neighbor. Believing his death was caused by loneliness, she dedicated her life to creating a residence for the elderly to live as a secure and tightly knit family.

Almost 30 years later, Harvest House is a successful multi-facility organization and has been recognized by the 2011 Hall of Fame judges.
