David Lerner Associates to Host Second Annual Charity Car Show

has once again partnered up with The Centurion Cruisers Car Club to hold the Second Annual David Lerner Associates , to take place this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the David Lerner Headquarters at 477 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.

This year, the show is being held to benefit the families of two fallen Nassau County Police Officers, Michael Califano and Geoffrey Breitkopf, and to, once again, benefit the Nassau-Suffolk Chapter of the Autism Society of America.
 
“At David Lerner Associates, we constantly strive to find ways to benefit our community and its members,” Lerner said in a statement.  “We hope this car show will be just as successful as last year’s event, where over 90 cars were on display. We are excited to help raise funds for these charitable causes while hosting an enjoyable event for the community.”

Officer Califano, a Nassau County Highway Patrol Officer, was tragically killed during a traffic stop on the Long Island Expressway on Feb. 4, 2011. Officer Breitkopf, a Nassau County Police Officer, tragically lost his life in the line of duty in Massapequa Park on March 12, 2011.
 
The Nassau-Suffolk Chapter of the Autism Society of America will also receive funds from the event to assist in their mission in providing lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.
 
Community members can attend the show, free of charge, to view the vast number of cars from throughout the ages. Car owners interested in participating in the car show can register their automobile for $15, which includes a lunch, by contacting Alex Barnych at 516-465-5061.

Participating cars will be limited to the first 120 to register. Those who cannot attend the event but would like to contribute to these great causes can make a donation using the same contact information.
