MEMORIAL DAY PARADE — SYOSSET, NEW YORK

The Syosset Memorial Day Committee announces the annual parade will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM. This event is jointly sponsored by The American Legion Post 175 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6394.

Parade Coordinator is Mr. Costantino “Gus” Scutari. All inquiries regarding participation should be directed to him at 516-496-8975. All are invited to this function honoring our deceased veterans who have made the supreme sacrifice in serving our country. Their love and devotion to our country, their deep patriotism and sacrifices when they responded to our country’s call are remembered today. Join us and honor these deceased veterans by displaying our country’s flag this day.

Parade assembly will be at 9:00 AM at the Variety Preschoolers Workshop on Humphrey Drive in Syosset. The parade will then proceed north on Jackson Avenue, west on Muttontown Road, south on Queens Street, east on Underhill Boulevard to the monuments (adjacent to the railroad station).

Formal ceremonies will commence at 11:00 AM.

Any service personnel at home or on leave are invited to participate and be recognized in the parade.
