Free Wi-Fi in Syosset

There are many places around Syosset where you can get deals, but do you know where you can get free Wi-Fi access?

With more people than ever needing to stay connected for both work and personal reasons, it’s important to know where you can access the Internet right here in Syosset – and there’s nothing better than free. 

This week, we found five local places that offer free Wi-Fi access for your phone, laptop, iPad or anything else you utilize to get online.

1.(390 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset – 516.364.0357. 8285 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury – 516.367.4467, www.starbucks.com)

Starbucks has recently changed their service and offers free, unlimited, one-click Wi-Fi to everyone.  You don’t need a Starbucks card or a username and password, and there’s no longer a 2-hour restriction on time.  Simply open your browser and connect.

2.  (225 South Oyster Bay Road, Syosset – 516.921.7161, www. Syossetlibrary.org)

If a quiet atmosphere is what you are looking for, Syosset Library offers free Wi-Fi on the third floor.

3.  (425 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset – 516.496.3934, www.borders.com)

“Come in, log out” is what Borders says regarding their Wi-Fi.  Have a seat in the café, grab something to eat and drink, turn on your laptops and get as much work done as you need to.

4 (571 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset – 516.921.6120, www.mcdonalds.com/wireless.html)

McDonalds recently started offering free Wi-Fi at 11,500 locations, including Syosset.  It’s easy to connect – turn on your computer, select “Wayport Access” from the available wireless networks on open your browser.  You’ll be directed to another page where you can click “connect” and you’re on. 

5.   (441 South Oyster Bay Road, Plainview – 516.937.0920, www.getcosi.com)

Sit down and log on – very simple.
