Grab and Go Kids Planner: July 15-17

Check out some fun events for the kids this weekend.

There are some cool things to do this weekend with the kids to help with the hot days of summer:

1. Fossil Day

2. Solo Circus

Where/When: Long Island Children’s Museum, 11 Davis Ave. East Garden City, 516-224-5800, licm.org, July 15 & 16 @ 2 p.m.

Why Go: Circus performers from the National Circus Project introduce the art of balancing, juggling, clowning, plate spinning and more, for children age 3 and older.

Pricing: $4.00 with museum admission

3. Teddy Bear Picnic

Where/When:Old Westbury Gardens, 71 Old Westbury Rd. Old Westbury, 516-333-0048, oldwestburygardens.org, July 15 @ 1 p.m.

Why Go: Bring your furry teddy bear friend and an adult for an afternoon in the Cottage Garden with finger foods and crafts. For ages 3-6, register and prepay.

Pricing: $20.00.

4. Our Night Out: Story Time Under the Stars

Where/When: Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium 180 Little Neck Rd. Centerport, 631-854-5579, www.vanderbiltmuseum.org, July 17 @ 6-7 p.m.

Why Go: Featuring "Fractured Fairy Tales," story read as pictures are projected on the dome under the star filled skies, all participants are welcome to wear pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed animal, blanket and pillow, reservations strongly suggested.

Pricing: $6.00

Where/When: , 225 S. Oyster Bay Rd, Syosset, July 15, @ 2-4 p.m.

Why Go: Come celebrate the release of the last movie at the Library’s own wizardry world of Harry Potter, with crafts and refreshments.
