2. Family Adventures: Exploring Life in the River

3. Family Fun Night

Why Go: Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner to the garden for a night of fun, with a mechanical bull-ride, DJ, bocce, horseshoes and more.

4. Ladybug Girl Event
Where/When: , 313 New York Ave., Huntington, 631-271-1442, Saturday June 25, @ 11 a.m.
Why Go: A story time event with children’s character, The Lady Bug Girl who comes to life with her trusty sidekick Bingo the dog, stories will be read and make crafts. Come dressed like a butterfly or ladybug, two signed copies of the book will be raffled off.
Pricing: Free, any signed books must be purchased.
5. Muttville Canine Show
Where/When: Long Island Game Farm Wildlife Park and Zoo, Chapman Boulevard (LIE exit 70) Manorville, 631-878-6644, www.longislandgamefarm.com
Why Go: Go see Johnny Peers, a former clown with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus perform a variety of tricks with his 15 dogs, most who have been rescued from shelters.
