Here's what's going on for the kids this weekend.
It’s the final weekend in March and we’ve got some good ideas for you and the kids to get out and enjoy the first full weekend of Spring.
Want to buy an Iguana? Head over to the Reptile Show at the Huntington Hilton. The kids can be creative as they learn to make a ship in a bottle. Want some entertainment? Go see Dan Zanes and Friends, it's supposed to be a great show.
Close to home over at , there’s a LEGO interactive racing event or discover the world of fossils and gems at a Gem and Mineral Show.

1. Long Island Pet Reptile Expo

Why Go: Take the kids to see live pet reptiles and amphibians that will be on display and for sale as pets. Vendors will also be selling many reptile related items.

2. Sunday Craft: Ship in a Bottle

Why Go: Children ages 5-12 can create their own ship in a bottle. Bring a label free wide mouth jar.

Why Go: Performance by Grammy and Parents’ Choice award winner Dan Zanes, it is an old-fashioned interactive experience where people of all-ages sing and dance with wild abandon to the sound of drums, upright bass, mandolin, electric guitar, trumpet, fiddle and spoons. It’s a big musical party for everyone.

5. Gem and Mineral Show

Why Go: The show features gems, mineral, fossils, beads, children’s games, exhibits and more. Presented by the Island Rock Hounds.
Pricing: $4.50 adult. Child fewer than 12 free with an adult.
