Water Quality Forum at Syosset-Woodbury Community Center

Nassau Department of Health, NYIT Director or Water Resources Management, and Citizens Campaign for the Environment to discuss drinking water quality.

The Jericho-based Coalition of Nassau Civic Associations (CONCA) is hosting a Water Forum on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Syosset/Woodbury Community Center on 7800 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury. 

Sarah Meyland, Director of the Center for Water Resources Management at NYIT, will give a presentation on the future of LongIsland's water and its aquifers.  Maureen Murphy from Citizens Campaign for the Environment will tell us what is in our drinking water. 

Nassau County Department of Health has been invited to discuss water tests and report on the quality of our water. A question and answer period will follow.  

CONCA will continue to provide forums to educate the public on matters that concern Nassau County and our greater communities.
