A crowd gathered Friday for the dedication of the new Museum of American Armor at Old Bethpage Village Restoration.
Joining them were Assemb. Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove), who spoke to the men and women who paid tribute on the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day landings on Normandy beach in France.
The multimillion facility will house 30 operational World War II vehicles and serve as a powerful educational tool for students throughout Long Island for years to come.
Lavine is responsible for providing a $250,000 grant from the Assembly for the Museum which was constructed with $3 million in private funds from Lawrence Kadish and his wife Susan.
