March 24: Education Rally, Lacrosse Games and HBT Musical

Well, there sure is a lot going on today! Take a look below to see if any of the following events or announcements is relevant to you:

1. at Hofstra University - This rally starts at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Hofstra Arena. The rally is against proposed cuts to state education aid and is expected to draw a huge crowd. "Like" the Facebook group "Save New York State Public Schools" for more info., and from a recent rally in Sachem. 
2. Head to the at 2 p.m. for "Women in American-Jewish Music," a lecture on "the distinctive contributions of women to American-Jewish music from the early twenieth century."
3. will perform the musical, starting at 7 p.m.
4. Girls and Boys Lacrosse - The OLMA lacrosse team hosts Huntington at 4 p.m. in a scrimmage, while theheads to South Side for a 4:15 p.m. game. 
5. The Syosset softball team hosts Plainview JFK at 4:15 p.m. in their non-league season opener. This one is weather permitting - check with Patch to see if this one is still on today.
