This week's choice is Jessa, a female black labrador retriever mix, and unfortunately her story is a sad one. Jessa was found as a stray, but is "very well behaved girl with great manners." Shelters workers say that Jessa is a lot of fun and loves to play!

Check out Jessa and the other pets at the in person from Monday through Saturday, 8 am until 4 pm, on the North Service Road of the LIE near South Oyster Bay Road. The shelter is closed on holidays.
