Syosset Students Raise $15,000 for Children's Fundraiser

The eighth annual Blue Jeans for Babies fundraiser raises money for life-saving heart surgeries for kids.

The Syosset High School Interact Club recently held its eighth annual Blue Jeans for Babies fundraiser and raised more than $15,000 for the Gift of Life Foundation, a charity gives life-saving heart surgeries for children.

This year the club sold 3,000 $5 bracelets, making it possible for the surgeries of three children. Students also wore blue jeans to raise awareness and show support during the event.

Last year, funds raised by the Interact Club not only helped bring a six year old girl to America to have surgery, but also provided funding to sponsor a medical training mission in El Salvador that offered surgery to more than 20 children in need.
