The Syosset restaurant once believed to be the inspiration for an iconic Billy Joel song will close their doors for good, according to Newsday.

Cops Report 11 Burglaries Nearby

Nassau County Police reported 11 burglaries, most in residential areas. in Hicksville, Jericho, Plainview, and other surrounding towns within the Second Precinct.

'Deadbeat Dad' Pleads Guilty

A former Syosset resident, once nicknamed "the most wanted deadbeat parent" by Health and Human Services, agreed to pay more than $1 million in child support Thursday after pleading guilty to criminal charges, according to Newsday.

Nassau County Police reported 10 incidents where thiefs broke into cars and took valuables, cash, and electronics.
