It’s been nearly a year since Hurricane Sandy ripped through Long Island.
And while some may have put the dark spell of the storm and its aftermath behind them, others, particularly on the South Shore, continue to struggle, displaced, waiting for insurance and portions of federal aid to trickle through.
How has life changed for you, post-Sandy? Is your home habitable; your business back on its feet? Have you purchased a new generator? Do stormy weather predictions and the possibility of power outages raise your stress level, or the memories of Sandy flooding back?
Perhaps you've found a new sense of community, after neighbors pulled together to help one another in the days after Sandy.
We want to hear how life after Sandy has made an impact right here on Long Island. Share your thoughts on our new open blog, My Sandy Story.
Head on over to our My Sandy Story blog and share your opinions, stories, photos and more.
