Today's 5: What You Need to Know

Wondering what's going on around the area today? Look no further. Check out just "5 Things" we think you should know about for Thursday:

• Today’s rundown of events is jam-packed with Syosset sports. keeps busy as they host three different games. At 4 p.m., the tennis team plays St. Mary and the soccer girls pair up against St. Dominic. Our Lady of Mercy Academy volleyball also goes up against St. Dominic from home at 5:30 p.m.  
• girls tennis heads over to Roslyn at 4:15 p.m., while the Braves girls volleyball head to East Meadow at 4:30 p.m.
• The Braves boys soccer plays host to Uniondale High School at 4:30 p.m.
• The “Teen Advisory Board” meets at the today from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The library seeks input from teens about library programs, website content and more. Community service hours are given and there is no registration required.
• High school seniors can head over to college application workshop at 7 p.m.
