The classes are held by the Education and Assistance Corp (EAC) Inc. to seniors 60 and older through its SeniorNet program and begin on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

“The town is pleased to continue our partnership with EAC and offer these classes to seniors,” said Councilwoman Beth Faughnan. “The classes are wide ranging and no prior experience with computers is necessary, just a desire to broaden your computer education.”

Classes are taught by volunteer instructors and coaches, who strive to make learning fun to help seniors adjust to the ever changing world of technology. There is a modest fee for materials.

“Enrolling in these SeniorNet classes will enable you to learn how to send emails to your grandchildren and even chat with old friends in other states that you may have lost touch with,” Faughnan said. “Keeping current with technology will open up new experiences each and every day.”
