Oyster Bay Voters Approve Town's Land Sale

Voters in the Town of Oyster Bay  overwhelming voted "Yes" Tuesday to allow the town government to sell a 53-acre parcel of its land, specifically, the current Department of Public Works property in Syosset, for $32.5 million.

Woman Killed on Syosset LIRR Line Sunday
A 53-year old Elmont woman was killed on the Syosset Long Island Railroad line west of the New Hyde Park Long Island Railroad station Sunday afternoon.

LIE Service Road Closures in Effect
LIE eastbound and westbound service roads on exit 42 and 43 will be shut down between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday for road work. 

Cops: Windows Shattered on Nearby Cars
Shattered windows and scratched paint jobs were reported near Syosset last week, according to Nassau County Police.
