Where to Save in Syosset

This week, save on spa services, meals and passes to local and NYC museums.

There are some great deals coming up this week, including kids eating free at Applebee's in celebration of Easter Sunday and free coffee at in celebration of Earth Day. Also, did you know that your family can borrow passes to local and NYC museums from the - the Museum Pass Program can save your family a significant amount of money.  

1.  Eastern Breeze Luxury Nails and Spa (8025 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury - 516.682.9600)

Deal: 20% off all services & gift certificate purchases.

In honor of their grand opening, Eastern Breeze Luxury Nails and Spa is offering 20% off all services and gift certificate purchases as well as a free enriched hand & body cream ($25 value) for first time registered customers.

Good: 20% off is good for the first two months after opening, free hand & body cream is good in limited quantities and for first time customers only.

2. Subway

Deal: Buy one 6-inch sub and get a second sub for free. No coupon necessary.

Local Subway locations include 43 Berry Hill Road & 323 Jackson Avenue in Syosset, 378 Syosset-Woodbury Road in Woodbury and 82 Manetto Hill Mall in Plainview.

Good: Monday, April 18 through Friday April 29 from 7-9am only.  The free sandwich must be of equal or lesser price than the purchased sandwich.

3. Applebee’s (938 South Broadway, Hicksville – 516.932.3780)

Deal: Kids eat free on Easter. 

Families dining at Applebee’s on Easter will receive up to two free Kids’ Meals with each adult entrée purchase.  Free meals are valid for kids ages 12 and under, dine-in only, on any Applebee’s “Kids’ Menu” entrée.

Good: Sunday, April 24 only.

4Starbucks (390 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset or 8285 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury)

Deal: Free coffee or tea on Earth Day.

To celebrate Earth Day 2011, bring in a reusable mug or tumbler and get a free brewed coffee or tea – your choice of brew, hot or iced. Show how one person can make great choices to help reduce our environmental impact. If you don’t have a tumbler or travel mug, they will be available in Starbucks stores for 20% off.

5. Syosset Library (225 South Oyster Bay Road, Syosset – 516.921.7161)

Deal: Free tickets to local museums.

Syosset Library’s Museum Pass Program allows Syosset resident library card holders to borrow passes to specific Long Island and NYC museums, giving you free admission on a date of your choosing.  To reserve your passes, you can stop by the Resders Services desk on the 2nd floor of the library, call 516.921.7161 x239 or reserve passes online here.  Passes can be reserved up to 30 days in advance and must be checked out with an adult Syosset Library card by a Syosset resident. 

A maximum of two passes can be reserved per every 30 day period and only one pass per family is permitted at one time.  You can check the passes out for two days, but late charges are $5 per day per pass and a non-refundable fee of $25 will be charged if you lose the pass.

Participating Long Island museums include Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum (Cold Spring Harbor), Cradle of Aviation and Long Island Children's Museum (Garden City), Heckscher Museum of Art (Huntington), Nassau County Museum of Art (Roslyn Harbor), Old Westbury Gardens (Old Westbury), Vanderbilt Museum (Centerport), as well as NYC museums American Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim Museum, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Museum of the City of New York, Museum of Modern Art and New York Botanical Gardens.
