The first town-wide book club has generated great interest at TOBAY libraries, reported TOBAY Councilwoman Rebecca Alesia, and have renewed interest in the classic film adaptation of the book starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.
"We chose 'The Great Gasby' as our inaugural book for a few key reasons, including its widespread accessibility at local libraries, its local appeal, and the many interesting parallels between the book's setting of 1920s New York and today," said Alesia.
The finale of the effort is scheduled at the Hicksville Community Center Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.
