See Beethoven's 5th at Tilles on Sunday

The Long Island Youth Orchestra will present the second concert of its 52nd Season on Sunday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts – LIU Post in Brookville, NY. Scott Dunn, Music Director and Conductor of the Long Island Youth Orchestra, will conduct LIYO in an impressive evening of orchestral music including the famous Beethoven Symphony No. 5, Liszt’s Les Preludes, and Rimsky-Korsakov’sRussian Easter Overture

The Long Island Youth Orchestra, which was founded by Martin Dreiwitz in 1962, has 90 outstanding teenage players representing nearly 40 communities from Nassau and Suffolk counties. In residence at LIU Post for 30 years, the Long Island Youth Orchestra rehearses weekly and presents a series of four concerts each season.

Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 for Students/Seniors, available one hour prior to the concert in the lobby of the Tilles Center.  To reserve tickets in advance, please e-mail LongIslandYouthOrchestra@gmail.com.
