Syosset Tai-Chi Group Performs at Citi Field

Group calls it the first ever large-scale demonstration of Chinese culture during a US sports league.

A Syosset-based martial arts group showcased the graceful flowing movements of Tai Chi recently in a performance at Citi Field.

In what he says is the first ever large-scaled demonstration of Chinese culture in a U.S. sports league, Master Sitan Chen of the Sitan Tai Chi & Martial Arts School led what appears to be over 60 performers in a demonstration of Tai Chi and Ba Duan Jin during a Mets game intermission.

In the attached video, a group spars with swords in hand while others branch out in a lyrical background to the drama.

Sitan Chen Tai Chi and Martial Arts Studio is located on 227 Michael Drive in Syosset. The studio offers classes for students of all skill levels. The studio is run by Tai Chi world champion Sitan Chen and martial arts coach Lynn Li.
