LIE Reopened After Accident [UPDATED]

Unknown number of injuries reported in Thursday morning accident.

Nassau County Police have reopened the eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway after an accident injured an unknown number of drivers.

At 11:25 a.m. Thursday, police closed all lanes of the eastbound LIE between Exits 43 and 44 after a car accident, according to reports.

Cops said the accident resulted in an undisclosed amount of injuries.

As of 2:30 p.m., all lanes were reportedly reopened.

Syosset Fire Department was among the responders to the accident, according to their website.
