A great place to eat with the family.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Graffiti

Overview: Great American type food without the large cost. A great family restaurant or a place to celebrate the soon to be end of school.

Decor: The restaurant is a very homey type restaurant. The walls are beige with white trim and it has a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There is also a fireplace on one side which is made out of dark wood. I felt it was less like a restaurant and more like someone’s house. It makes you feel really comfortable when you go inside.

The Drinks:

  • A selection of domestic and imported beers
  • Soft Drinks

Appetizers:

  • Maryland Crab Cake
  • Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail
  • Short Rib Flatbread
  • BBQ Scallops
  • Prosciutto Di Parma

Entrees:

  • Petite Chicken Meatloaf - Though this meatloaf is made of chicken, it still has the rich flavor of a regular beef meatloaf. I was very surprised about how juicy and tender it was as well as flavorful.
  • Espresso Chili Rubbed Skirt Steak – Espresso, chili and steak? It didn’t seem to sound like a good combination but it was delicious. The steak itself was even tender and easy to eat.

Sides

Salads:

  • Roast Beet Salad
  • Winter Green
    Chopped
  • Cob
  • Mama Loo’s

Soups:

  • French Onion
  • Butternut Squash & Apple
  • Soup of the Day

Desserts:

  • Warm Chocolate Cake
  • Cheesecake
  • Banana Mousse Cake
  • Red Velvet Sundae
  • Fresh Berry “Napoleon”
  • Bakes Apple Crisp

Service: It feels like family when you are served at Graffiti. Not only do they smile and are prompt but they try to get to know you on a personal level. The wait staff likes to joke around with the customers as they take the orders. They also like to tease each other. I found it to be a very inviting place.

Signature Dish: Natural Onion Crusted Chicken
