Black Wolf Howls No More

Syosset bar owners say it will close, has been sold to south shore bar owner.

The Black Wolf Bar has poured its last pint, according to owners.

After announcing they would be closed for summer vacation, representatives from the Jackson Avenue bar said the spot had been sold to a Long Island bar owner from the south shore.

Owners didn't confirm when the grand opening would be or what the future business would be called. They did say they looked forward to the job the new owners would do and had high hopes for their future.

Black Wolf replaced Noreen's in 2011 and was once home to the cooking of Hell's Kitchen's Barret Beyer. Beyer, who got his culinary training at Star Career Academy, started the Hellfire Challenge with the hottest wings on the planet. The bar's wings were voted the best in town on Patch last year.

A grand opening has not yet been announced.
