Syosset Chamber of Commerce holds their first meeting of 2013 on Thursday morning. The meeting kicks off a new and hopeful year for Syosset business.
Michael Riegel, the Managing Director for Engineers Are People Too, will offer his expertise as a guest speaker. Riegel's company focuses on providing training, coaching, and consulting to technical professionals and organizations, according to the Chamber.
Another first of the new year, Thursday's meeting will be the first ever held at the new Toast & Tapas Neighborhood Bistro. For the meeting's usual fee of $10, business owners will enjoy a special breakfast menu that includes french toast, bananas foster pancakes, or the Toast signature egg dish.
The Syosset Chamber will be focusing on upcoming multi-chamber networking events, joining surrounding business associations.
Also in the plans for 2013 is the upcoming 5th Annual Chef's Night, one of the Chamber's biggest events of the year. Chef's Night was postponed after Hurricane Sandy and will still feature foods from the neighborhood. This year's event will be combined with the annual installation dinner festivities. Chef's Night is Feb. 11 at The Fox Hollow Inn. Tickets are $50 with reservations or $55 at the door.
