Eat at Butera's, Help Hungry Long Islanders

Butera's of Woodbury hosts 'Give Back Night' to benefit Island Harvest on Tuesday.

Island Harvest and Food for Long Island have teamed up with Butera's Restaurant of Syosset to produce Give Back Night. At no extra charge to customers, ten percent of all sales Butera's makes on Tuesday will be donated to Island Harvest.

On Tuesday, Dec. 13 during lunch and dinner service until 10 p.m., the Woodbury location will accept certificates customers bring which will allow them to donate to Island Harvest. Customers must print and bring the certificate with them for the donation to be valid.

For 19 years, Island Harvest has worked "to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island," according to founder Linda Breitstone. Since the foundation of the organization, Island Harvest has delivered 71 million pounds of food, creating almost 66 million meals for hungry Long Islanders.
