Fall Beer Specials in Syosset

Stores in the area feature a large amount of seasonal beer selections.

Fall is here, which means cooler weather, pumpkin picking and – you guessed it – . A number of seasonal selections have been available since the end of August, but now shelves of specialty stores are fully stocked.

Luckily, Syosset is home to one of the top beverage centers on the island, . This local beer distributor, located at 600 Jericho Turnpike, is known all over Long Island as one of the best places to find a large selection of beer.

Featured fall products that are currently available at Syosset Beverage include hard ciders, pumpkin ales, Octoberfest beers and Fall and Harvest beers.

sells about 20 different pumpkin ale varieties including local favorites like Blue Point Pumpkin Ale and Post Road Pumpkin Ale (made by Brooklyn Brewery and on sale for $8.99 for a six pack). Other popular pumpkin ale selections are Uinta Four Plus Punk’n (currently on sale for $10.99 for a six pack), Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin and Dogfish Head Punkin Ale (correctly spelled as "Punkin"). Samuel Adams Double Pumpkin Ale is available (in draft keg only), as well, in addition to Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale.

Octoberfest selections at Syosset Beverage include imports like Hacker-Pschoor Oktoberfest Marzen, Ayinger Oktoberfest-Marzen and Spaten Oktoberfest Ur Marzen. Domestic and local Octoberfest beers are also sold, including Coney Island Freaktoberfest, Blue Point Oktoberfest and Brooklyn Oktoberfest. Other fall specials at Syosset Beverage are Fall and Harvest beers and hard ciders. Try Southern Tier Harvest Ale, Goose Island Harvest Ale or Magic Hat Hex to experience some flavors of autumn. If you want something sweet, ask about ciders. Hardcore, Woodpecker and J.K.'s Scrumpy Organic are just a few of the hard cider options.

Growlers are sold at Syosset Beverage, as well. You can purchase one at the store for $3.99 or bring your own to fill with a selection on tap. Great South Bay Splashing Pumpkin is now available for the fall and costs $14.49.

Another great local spot for seasonal beers and ciders is Whole Foods in Jericho (429 North Broadway). Original Sin hard cider is currently on sale for $8.99 for a six pack. Doc’s Draft Hard Cider 22 oz. bottles that come in apple, pear and raspberry flavors are also available for a low price of $4.99 a bottle. Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale is on sale at Whole Foods, as well, at $9.99 for a six pack.
