Flu Shots Offered at Stop & Shop

Local grocery store pharmacies are stocking up early for the cold and flu season.

Written by Judy Mottl

Getting a flu shot last season got a bit tricky when local pharmacies ran short on the vaccine.

So Glen Cove residents trying to stay ahead of the flu-shot game, can visit a nearby Stop & Shop, which said it is offering flu vaccinations at all of their in-store pharmacies. No appointment is needed and vaccinations are provided any time the pharmacy is open.

The cost for the flu shot is $35 in New York and most major insurance plans along with Medicare are accepted. Customers with a Stop & Shop prescription savings card will receive $10 off the regular price of a flu shot.

For more information or to find the Stop & Shop pharmacy nearest you, please visit www.stopandshop.com. If interested in signing up for a Stop & Shop prescription savings card, ask a pharmacist on your next visit.
