Hurricane Grill & Wings, a national restaurant chain boasting a full menu from steaks and salads to over 30 flavors of chicken wings, is coming to Syosset.
The latest Hurricane - the 43rd in the chain - opens up at 275 Jericho Turnpike ( shopping center) on August 15. Syosset resident Bob Engel is leading a team which will bring the newest Long Island outpost of the national chain to Syosset.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to bring this great national chain here to Syosset, where I think people will love both the unique food and atmosphere at the restaurant,” Engel said.
Engel knows the tastes of residents of the greater Syosset, Woodbury and Jericho communities well as he has operated the highly successful on Jericho Turnpike for 16 years. Engel sold Healthy Eatery earlier this year as he prepared to bring Hurricane to Syosset.
Engel is working with his partner and longtime friend Dean George of Wantagh to open this 150-seat Hurricane Grill & Wings, which will employ six full-time and approximately 30 part-time employees. The popular restaurants are well known for cooked fresh-to-order menu items, featuring a wide range of selections including jumbo savory chicken wings with over 30 signature sauces to choose from, creating endless dining possibilities.
While the décor at the new restaurant will be very tropical and will make you think you are on an island vacation, the Syosset Hurricane will also have 15 60-inch flat panel TVs, as well as a 200 inch display, where you can catch any of our favorite games.
