Local Locales for New Year’s Eve

After digging out from under the snow you are probably just starting to think about what to do for The Eve of 2011.

2011 is right around the corner, and Syosset Patch is going to help you find the best place to celebrate this Friday. Here are just a couple of options:

1. Most restaurants in the vicinity are sticking to the regular menu, but Nisen Sushi, located at 7967 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury Village, has lots of fun in store.  For $130 per person, they are offering a six-course menu, top-shelf open bar, a champagne toast at midnight and a DJ spinning all night long.  There will be three seatings: 8:30pm, 9pm, and 9:30pm. Once at your table, it's yours for the night.  Note: the bar area will not be serving food in order to make room for dancing and merriment.  The celebration will continue until around 2am.   Call 516-496-7000 for reservations.

2. , located at 407 Jericho Turnpike, is offering fun for the whole family.  There will be a three-course $50 prix-fixe for adults, unlimited beer and wine as well as a $25 prix-fixe for children 12 years and under (including kid beverages).  A special menu has been created for this festive night.  Dance the night away starting from 8pm until 2am to a live DJ.  As midnight approaches, all the TV's will be tuned in to watch the ball drop.  Call 516-802-4125 for reservation.

3. For those who enjoy a hall setting check out Woodbury Country Club, located at 884 Jericho Turnpike, for their annual New Year's Eve bash.  You have a choice of two all-inclusive options, both starting with a cocktail hour, champagne, and caviar.  From 8pm until 1am, for $130 per person, there will be a five-course sit-down dinner while swaying to the tunes of  Code Bleu, a 12-piece orchestra.  In their other room, from 9pm until 2:30am a buffet dinner will be served to those who want to party all night long to the music of That 70's Band, a seven-piece ensemble.  As things wind down, both rooms will offer a breakfast-to-go.  Open bar.  Call 516-692-6200 for reservations.
