Plans are underway for Port Holiday Magic in Port Washington. The all-day event features shopping, dining, live music and street performers, including carolers. The event extends extends from shops and eateries along Port Washington Boulevard, Main Street and Shore Road.
Oenophiles, take note. A new wine bar planned for 235th Street has submitted applications to the state's Liquor Authority and work on the building is underway. Located at 40-45 235th St., the bar will be known as Wine Time.

A music school for children will open above the Avon training center site that formerly housed First Edition sports bar. Vienna Music, located on the second floor of 41-08 Bell Blvd. in Bayside, is expected to open later next month.
