Besides their "Weekly Workshops" they also offer "Do-it-Herself" clinics to empower women to take on projects. It's also perfect for the lady who may feel intimidated by tool gurus or well-versed handymen.

For a real treat and a great way to spend quality time with your children, they hold free "Kids Workshops" on the first Saturday of every month from 9am until noon where you and your youngster will try your hand at anything from assembling a car model, creating a bird house to making a tool carrier.

Go to the back of the store by the receiving area and a lovely lady named Bonnie will be there to guide you through it all. Believe it or not, there can be anywhere from 200 kids ready with hammer in hand, nuts about getting started. But don't feel un-hinged - it's all quite orderly, just show up early.

To register and read all about this month's and next month's lectures and clinics go to their Home Improver Club website.

You can also learn about what's coming up this week by checking out the billboard located in the front vestibule by the east entrance of the store.

And a special kids workshop has been added mid-month and will be held the day before Father's Day on June 18 to create something special for dads.  As always, all children go home with a craft and receive a Home Depot apron.
