Readers' Choice: Best Catered Food in Syosset

Memorial Day weekend is about tangy backyard barbecue and sweet cole slaw. But what if you can’t make it all? We want your pick for catered food joint.

Sides of mac and cheese, potato salad and cole slaw go great with any family get together. So do trays of penne alongside sausage and peppers. That’s a Long Island feast done Italian-style.

Whatever your preference, Memorial Day weekend is all about backyard gatherings of friends and family. But whether you fire up the Weber grill or channel your inner Martha Stewart, preparing the entire banquet may be too much to handle.

You’re in luck. Quality caterers abound, from the local meat market and deli to the neighborhood restaurant or grocery store.

Time to weigh in. Syosset Patch is looking for the best catered food in town. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s catered food – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Then vote. Readers' Choice winners are all up to you, so it's important not only to vote below, but also be sure to share this contest with your friends on Facebook and Twitter! Voting closes Friday at 9 a.m.

Friday we’ll announce our winner.

If Burger King delivers or we count pickup we could categorize it as a caterer. Did you try their latest dollar menu and the Mango drink?

Great nominations everyone! We'll add the best to the poll tomorrow morning. If you haven't nominated yet, tell us ASAP!

What about Iavarone Bros.?? By far the best "catering" addition to the Syosset area!

Yup, we're adding them to the list for tomorrow, thanks to you and Syosset Mrs.

How good could it have been, it's Gone! My friend said it was "greek" god awful. Just like the typical chinese / japanese food places. Mix the food of two nations usually means you're not very good at preparing either.
