Shine Dental Associates Opens its Doors

The Dental offices officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday.

We were all wondering about that building wrapped in black mesh on Jericho Turnpike flanked by the Starbucks and Sprint Store eight months ago. It came to be known that this location was not to be another restaurant or wireless phone store but .

Once a small, unassuming house that was a real estate company, the building's façade quickly evolved into a showpiece on the block, displaying a French Normandy style that would make for a lovely private residence; it cleverly has a faux second story to add to the grandeur.

Three dentists, Eric Weinstein DDS, PC, Vikas Mittle DDS, board certified periodontist, and Concetta Mangiaracina DDS, PLLC, who worked together decided to form a partnership and open up a dental office.

"We had a good professional relationship with specialties that compliment each other, so it seemed like a good fit to build a business here," Weinstein said.

Dr. Weinstein, working closely with architect Richard Kornblau, had a vision to create a structure that would be inviting and alluring considering that trips to the dentist can be a source of anxiety to some.

To alleviate any further phobias, Anne Lombardi created light and airy interiors worthy of gracing the pages of House Beautiful.

Entering the magnificent reception area, you are greeted by a friendly staff.

"Each patient will receive an I-Pad where they will fill out forms that will automatically be uploaded into our system, everything will be paperless," said General Manager, Veranda Sanchez.

While you wait you are able to make use of the I-Pad for access to the internet or if you brought your laptop you can connect to the free Wi-Fi.

This is a dentistry group that will service the whole community.

"We take insurance from most providers and we treat every age, starting with babies at a year and half, and our lab on the premises affords us the opportunity to do same day service including repairs on dentures," said Susan Strejlau, Marketing Manager.

Each exam room has a large flat screen monitor and while sitting on a comfy dentist chair, upholstered in either silver or faux snakeskin, you will be presented with a wireless mini keyboard which will allow you to watch TV, surf the web, check emails, and browse Facebook. The screen is also used to view patient x-rays.

Besides general, cosmetic, and laser dentistry they offer dental implants, porcelain veneers, orthodontia, periodontia, emergency care, root canals, dentures, and Invisalign.

I was wondering what that was going to be. Not exactly my taste from the outside but looks very nice inside and now that odd two story volume from the outside makes sense with the double height space. From the inside that double height space appears to provide for a bright and welcoming waiting room. WOW on the accommodations. Why go anywhere else?

I really like the building. It is so well done and detailed. It has a theme almost similar to my own home. John Bond | http://www.beachsidedental.com.au
