Syosset Rite Aid is Closing

Pharmacy to hold liquidation sale, will send prescriptions to nearby CVS.

spokespeople confirmed Wednesday that the Syosset location on Jackson Avenue is officially closing their doors.

Rite Aid spokesman Eric Harkreader said that because of business conditions at that specific location, the store would be closing.

Prescriptions filled at Rite Aid will be shipped to the nearby on Cold Spring Road so residents will only have to travel up the street.

At the moment, Rite Aid has closed their doors to business so that staff may perform an inventory of merchandise. The store will then reopen on Saturday to begin a liquidation sale. All non-pharmaceutical items will be sold with a 50% discount.

Harkreader said the official closing of the store will depend upon how quickly the liquidation sale is completed.
