Toast & Tapas Welcomes First Customers

New Syosset restaurant began service Tuesday.

The brand new Toast & Tapas Neighborhood Bistro began serving their first customers Tuesday.

The bright orange motif brought in a bright new future to the Berry Hill Road restaurant as 516 Americana officially transformed into Toast & Tapas.

"We look forward to being your comfortable neighborhood Bistro. Please stop in for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and on Friday and Saturday evenings for Live Music, and our Tapas menu," wrote staff on their new Facebook page.

News of the change brought about votes of support and messages of excitement from fans of both establishments.

"Toast & Co also has a restaurant in Huntington that is delicious," wrote Maureen Lauterbach on Patch. "They will make a good addition to Syosset.

"We always loved 516 - good food, good people on staff and perfect for the family. I would rather go to Syosset than Huntington anytime," wrote Letta Gano as other speculated that restaurants have a tough time surviving in Syosset when Huntington is a few miles away.

Toast & Tapas will be open seven days a week "where you can enjoy Toast's famous breakfast and lunch during the day and exciting new tapas by night," according to their website. Staff said they would continue to provide live music in Friday and Saturday nights and will not change the already booked bands.
