April 16: Girls Lacrosse Game, A New Brain

Hello Syosset and welcome to "5 Things," which gives you just that - five events or announcements we think you should know about. 

The weekend is officially here, and it should be a fun one, with a ton of things going on in the community. If you have something to add that we missed, feel free to add it to our calendar or comment on the story. 

Here's what you need to know Saturday:

1. Unfortunately it's not going to be the nicest day outside - The Weather Channel says it will be mostly cloudy and windy, with showers developing later in the day. Expect a high temperature of 48F, and winds ESE at 20 to 30 mph. Also, a chance of rain 50%.
2. will hold a Mass and Blessing of the Palms with Procession at 5 p.m. 
3. Spring Recess - Don't forget, the schools are closed next week, from April 18 to 26. There are still some sports going on, so stay tuned. 
4. The lacrosse team hosts St. John's at 12 p.m.
5. See - This is your last chance to see William Finn's autobiographical musical at the in Plainview.
