The Birchwood Park Civic Association announced on the Syosset Patch Boards that they will hold a meeting Thursday.
The meeting will take place at Syosset-Woodbury Community Center at 7:15 p.m.
On the agenda is a talk about generator backup systems for homes to keep residents safe during power outages.
The group was organized in 2013 to unite the community after a rash of wintertime burglaries. It is headed by Patrick Crudo.
