The national average for gas currently sits around $4 a gallon, but is higher here in Long Island. Fortunately, experts are saying that gas prices are expected to drop nearly 50 cents by June, just in time for the active summer season. While those forecasts are welcomed, this week we still don't have much to be happy about.
The station located at 42 Jericho Turnpike currently offers the cheapest gas in all three major categories: Regular is $4.279, Plus in $4.359 and Premium is $4.479. The cheapest diesel is offered at for $4.509.

The prices listed here are taken from Motor Trend's website, which bases its information on credit card transactions. Some stations offer cheaper prices for cash-only purchases.
