A smoking train at the Hicksville LIRR station could affect Syosset service for much of the afternoon.
The 3:55 train from Huntington to Penn Station had to be evacuated a little after 4 p.m. due to a smoke condition. It was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station at 4:41 p.m.
According to reports delays of around 30 minutes are expected.
