ERASE Racism Receives $20,000 Grant
Long Island Community Foundation donates half a million dollars to community organizations, including ERASE Racism.
will receive $20 thousand from the Long Island Community Foundation. The foundation announced the approval of grants totaling $537 thousand to 25 of some of the neediest nonprofit organizations in the area.
“We had an overwhelming amount of requests for support from our nonprofit partners during this grant cycle,” said David M. Okorn, executive director at the LI Community Foundation. “It’s still a tough economy and the demand for their services continues to increase. We are so grateful to our generous donors who make these grants possible and improve the quality of life for all Long Islanders.”
By advocating for laws and exposing racial discrimination, works to create communities where race is not a factor in opportunity.

Grants to other area organizations include $20 thousand to the Family Service League of Huntington, $15 thousand to the Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect in Bethpage and $7 thousand to Youth Environmental Services in Massapequa.
