Faith Lutheran Church to Hold Blessing for Jackson Avenue

Elected officials and construction community will join Pastor Mark Herbst and Faith Congregation on Church steps overlooking Jackson Avenue this Sunday.

Thankful for the long awaited rebuilding of Jackson Avenue in Syosset, a special blessing will be offered for the Jackson Avenue construction workers at a blessing ceremony of heavy equipment on Sunday, June 26, at 11:15 am.

The blessing will take place from the steps of, located at 231 Jackson Avenue, immediately following a special worship service.

Reverend , Pastor and the congregation will be joined by New York State Senator Carl Marcellino, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano (invited), Nassau County Legislator , Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto and Oyster Bay Town Councilman Chris Coschignano.

The congregation will offer its blessing for the Jackson Avenue project which is both important to the local community and for the construction workers who have suffered long delays in infrastructure projects which are critical to addressing the high unemployment levels among the region’s industry.
