Feb. 1: Braves Basketball, Girl Scout Cookie Sales and Weather Update

Hello and welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today," the Tuesday edition. 

Well, February is here, pushing us just one month closer to summer. One can only hope that the next 30 days goes by a little faster than the last 30. It's hard to believe it, but the snow isn't over just yet - the National Weather Service is calling for up to 3 inches Tuesday. Which leads us to our first thing you need to know for Tuesday:

1. - The 3 or so inches of snow we could receive Tuesday is not what should worry us. The National Weather Service says that a mixture of sleet, ice, and freezing rain could also be in the mix. Make sure to take extra caution on the streets. Drive slow.
